Some people are happiest with their feet on dry land. This sign probably isn't for them.

Our Life's Good on Our Boat engraved wood sign is for the people who would rather spend the day on the water, even when half the morning was spent loading coolers, untangling ropes, and wondering who forgot something back at the house.

The sample shown is engraved with the saying "Shells sink, dreams float. Life's good on our boat." It's simple, fun, and fits right in with a lake house, boat room, marina-themed space, or anywhere your family keeps the things that remind you of being on the water.

Want the saying shown in our photos? Tell us you want the Life's Good on Our Boat design when ordering. Want your boat name, family name, favorite boating saying, or another custom message instead? Send us your idea and we'll personalize the sign around what you want.

For the Family That's Always Ready to Get Back on the Water

Boat people understand that owning a boat isn't always relaxing.

There's launching it, loading it, fueling it, cleaning it, fixing whatever suddenly decided not to work, and convincing everybody that yes, we really do need to leave the house this early.

Then you finally get out on the water.

And somehow all of that becomes worth it.

That's the feeling behind this sign. Life just feels a little better when the boat is floating and the shoreline is getting farther away.

Use Our Boating Saying or Create Your Own

The design shown in the photos is only one example of what we can engrave.

We make custom signs, so your piece can be about your boat and your family.

Depending on your wording, design, and available engraving space, ideas can include:

• Boat name
• Family last name
• Favorite boating saying
• Lake or river name
• Marina name
• Established year
• Coordinates of a favorite place
• Short funny boat quote
• Vacation home name
• Another custom message or suitable design

If you have a longer boating poem or personal story in mind, we also make a personalized boater poem wood sign that gives longer wording more room to tell the story.

A Personalized Boat Gift That Isn't Another Tumbler

Finding a gift for somebody who loves their boat usually leads to the same handful of things.

Another cup. Another shirt. Another hat. Another little anchor decoration.

A personalized wooden boat sign gives you a chance to make the gift specifically about their boat.

Add the boat's actual name. Put the lake where they spend every summer. Add the year they finally bought it. Use the saying everybody in the family knows.

Now you've got something they couldn't have picked up from a random marina gift shop.

Great for Lake Houses, Boat Rooms and Cabins

This sign doesn't necessarily have to hang on the boat itself.

It can work especially well in a lake house, cabin, enclosed porch, boat room, home bar, game room, garage, or wherever your family keeps its boating memories.

If your place is more beach than lake, you can also see our custom beach house wood sign for another personalized waterside design.

A Fun Gift for New Boat Owners

Some purchases deserve to be celebrated.

If somebody has spent years talking about buying a boat and finally did it, personalize a sign with the new boat name, owner's name, lake, or year they bought it.

It makes a fun new-boat gift, Father's Day gift, Mother's Day gift, birthday gift, retirement gift, housewarming gift for a lake property, or Christmas gift for the person who's already counting down until boating season comes back.

Laser Engraved Into Real Wood

We laser engrave the wording directly into the wood instead of applying vinyl lettering over the surface.

Real wood naturally varies in grain, coloring, knots, markings, and engraving appearance. Your finished sign can look somewhat different from the sample because no two pieces of natural wood are perfectly identical.

Those differences are normal and part of the character of an engraved wood sign.

How to Order Your Custom Boat Sign

1. Choose the available options for your sign.
2. If you want the Life's Good on Our Boat saying shown in our photos, tell us that in the customization area.
3. If you want your own wording, enter the boat name, family name, saying, date, or other personalization.
4. Provide suitable artwork if your custom design requires it.
5. Carefully check names, dates, and spelling before placing your order.

If you've got an idea but aren't sure exactly how it should look, explain what you're trying to create. You don't need to design the entire sign yourself before ordering.

Where Should I Display My Wooden Boat Sign?

This is a real wood sign, so I wouldn't automatically treat it like marine equipment just because it has a boating theme.

If you're putting it somewhere exposed to weather, spray, or regular moisture, the wood needs appropriate outdoor protection. Otherwise, an indoor or protected location is the safer choice.

I don't want to call something waterproof or weatherproof when we haven't established that it is.

A Quick Note About Hanging and the Photo Props

Shells, rope, plants, furniture, and other decorative items shown in our product photos are photography props and are not included. The rope hanger shown attached to this sample represents one of the hanging styles we offer. When available on the listing, choose your preferred rope hanger or sawtooth hanger option before ordering.

Make It About Your Boat

That's what I think makes this sign worth ordering custom.

Boating memories aren't really about boats anyway.

They're about who was sitting beside you. The kids jumping off the back. The sunsets you stayed out too late watching. The fish somebody still exaggerates the size of. The summers everybody wishes lasted a little longer.

Put the boat name on it. Put the lake on it. Put your family's saying on it.

Give us the part of boating that means something to you, and we'll turn it into an engraved wood sign that actually belongs to your crew.
